End of school year teacher presents and cards

Image
So its almost the end of another school year and I've been busy making teacher cards and some of the gifts.  So I decided to dedicate a blog post to this and share some of my creations. So firstly I made two kingfisher crystal art cards for my oldest's teacher and teaching assistant as I have thought this was very apt as his class was named Kingfishers, sadly I don't seem to have any pictures of these. The next item I did was to create a framed piece of art work, whereby using crafters companion stamps I stamped the letters S-A-L-L-Y, slightly overlapping some of the lettter, following that I coloured the flowers and foliage around the letters using my triblend brush pens.   After all the flowers and foliage were coloured I decided to colour the letters in shades of grey to allow it to stand out.  I was going to leave the background white however it didn't quite look right so I decided to mask up the letters and ink blend the background using time for tea blender brush

Oh my days, I cant not believe its the middle of July already its insane where has half the year gone already and the school break up for summer holidays next week and its my eldest birthday on 31st July. So for this card I used a latest released image - Sherri Baldy's My besties  Firstly I started by printing 4 of the images on to a sheet of A4 card stock suitable for alcohol markers and then coloured in one image using my Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens along with a couple of my Promarkers before fussy cutting out the image.   Following that I took a piece of cheap copier paper and using a nesting die I cut out a 6 inch square to create a frame/ mask , which I then laid over a 8 by 8 card blank and secured the edges down with some masking tape so the paper did not move. Using Time for Tea Hillside village stamp set I stamped out the tree hill line followed by fence gate and sheep from an unbranded stamp set concluding with adding colour to the scene using triblends and promark

Wow! For this card I used Sherri Baldy's My Besties Storybook Fairy Tale Fairy Princess Doll 3, which can be purchased from  here , so firstly I printed this image off before colouring in the image using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens and Spectrum Noir sparkle pens. On a 6 by 6 inch square white card blank and to create the background detail using my Time for Tea Designs Diamond Burst stencil, Time for Tea blender brushes along with Distress oxide in abandoned coral.  Using a black fine-liner pen I then added a stitched detail around the edge of the card blank along with around the edge of the image
