Color it - Create it - show it off! January 2022

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow can't believe we are here 2022, where did 2021 go! So its the start of a new month so time to mention to you all of the monthly challenge running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. This month I have used this gorgeous image which is Shabby chic birdcage besties doll 5 and can be purchased  here.   This card is using a 6 by 6 card blank to which I have covered with a floral pattern paper.  I printed the image (4 images onto a sheet of A4) and then cut it out creating a square topper, colouring the image using promarkers and triblend pens.  I also used my white jelly roll pen to add accents to the image.  I then took a hammered pink card and cut it down so it was slightly larger than that of the image. I then stuck the pick hammered card to the floral paper on a slight angle before adhering the image to the pink card but this time sticking it straight and not at an angle.  I

Color it - create it - show it off! December reminder 2021

Hey Everyone!  Wow, where has the time gone, can not believe we are into the middle of December already.  So its time to remind you all of the monthly challenge running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here.      For these projects I used My Besties Phoenix Ray 'Plushie Collection' Doll 25 digi stamp which can be purchased by clicking  here.   I made these cards for two little girls born on the same day a year apart but also have uncommon names that not likely to find cards with their name on. Firstly I started by printing the two images on an A4 piece of paper, and then coloured both images using my triblend brush pens I then decided to round the corners of one of the toppers and on the other add a dash line detail around the outside using a black fine-liner.   For both cards I used 8 by 8 card blanks, which I then added a background layer of paper from DoCrafts Papermania birthday range in

Color it - create it - show it off! December 2021

 Hey Everyone!  Wow, where has the time gone, can not believe we are into December already.  So its that time to mention to you all of the monthly challenge running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. For this card I used an image that I got from My Besties Patreon club which you can sign up to clicking  here. Staying with clean and simple cards from last month; for this card I printed four of the same image on to an A4 page which I then cut up into 4 separate toppers.  I took one of these and coloured the image in using spectrum noir triblend brush pens before adhering it to an A6 red glitter card blank. I then searched for the right sentiment stamp to go with the image however couldn't find what I thought was relevant so looked into my sentiment topper stash and found the one I used on this card and used red liner tape to stick it to the card. Color it - create it - show it off! November reminder 2021

Hey Everyone!  Wow, where has the time gone, can not believe we are into mid November already.  So its that to remind you all of the monthly challenge running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. For this card I have used Sherri Baldy's My Bestie's Snow Globe Doll 9 which can be purchased  here.  Firstly I printed off the image and coloured it in using spectrum noir triblend brush pens and promarkers, before then fussy cutting the image out.  I wanted to create a clean and simple christmas card therefore I took a grey snowflake paper and adhered it to a 8 by 8 card blank (the snowflake paper was slightly smaller than the card blank). I then stuck the image to the snowflake paper using double sided tape and stuck the sentiment onto the card using foam tape.  The sentiment was from a paper boutique paper pad I had in my box of sentiments. For this card I have used Sherri Baldy's My Bestie's Snow Globe Doll 9 which can be purchased  here.   I used an 8 by 8 card blank which I adhered a piece of snowflake vellum with two strips of christmas ribbon attached to the top and bottom of the piece of vellum; which was cut down slightly smaller than 8 by 8 and I rounded the corners. For the image I coloured it using triblend brush pens by crafter companion, along with some metalic promarkers and gel pens.  I cut down the image into a square topper and rounded the corners before layering onto a slightly larger piece of navy blue cardstock which I also rounded the corners.  The topper backed onto the navy cardstock was then adhered to the vel

Color it - create it - Show it off! September reminder 2021

 Hey Everyone!  Wow, where has the time gone, can not believe we are half way through September already.  So its that to remind you all of the challenger running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. For this card I used Sherri Baldy's My Besties Summer drink Bestie doll 19 which can be purchased from  here.   Firstly I printed off the image and then coloured it using spectrum noir triblend brush pens, before then layering the image onto a teal coloured cardstock.   Onto a card blank I then layered a sheet of pink bubble paper, which I had received as a freebie with a magazine, and layered that onto teal cardstock before adhering to the card blank.  Finally I stuck down my coloured in topper onto the center of the bubble paper. I choose to leave the front of the card sentiment free as I thought one could either be added for a specific occasion or maybe a name could be added. Thank you for taking

Color it - Create it - Show it off September 2021

   Hey Everyone!  So its back to school time for us in the UK and time for this months challenge running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. For this card I used a 8 by 8 card blank and using a pink ink designs stencil along with my blender brushes and distress oxides ink I created the back ground. I then printed the My Besties Gnome image and then coloured using my spectrum noir triblend pens prior to sticking the image onto the card blank I took a black promarker pen and a ruler to create a black edge line around the image to create an extra layer and bringing the image forward.  I decided to add the image on an angle rather than straight as this allowed more of the background to be seen. I wasn't too sure on what sentiment to use and couldn't find anything I wanted to use in my stash of stamps so therefore decided to hand write the sentiment using a black fine-liner.
