Time for tea designs - I workout to ...

Image
Hey all! I hope you are all well - how are those new years resolutions going?  So today I'm sharing a fun card for those who decided to workout more this year but however due -to the weather and lock-down are finding they are eating / pigging-out more.   So firstly before I even knew that I was going to make this card I spent some time mass die-cutting and stamping some of my new release sets from Time for Tea designs; the new sets are  Happy Mail Critters ,  Workout Pigs  and  Smitten Kittens .  I will share on a later blog the process I use for my mass die cutting and stamping.   Once I had decided to use the workout pigs I started by colouring the pigs in using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens. With the triblend pens I use the lighter shade first, before adding the darker shade to where shadows are, then using the mid shade going over the edge of the dark shade blending it in and going over most of image but leaving the areas which light would hit in the light shade. Time for Tea Designs - Bears Picnic and Autumn Scene cover plate

Image
Hey everyone, glad you have taken the time to stop by and check out my latest blog post.  Today I'm sharing a card I have made using Time for Tea Designs products in particular the autumn scene cover plate die set as I have been meaning to use this for a while now just never got opportunity or idea to inspire me.  So my thought for this card was to create a scene of a teddy bears picnic under the tree with them sitting on a rug but as you can see that idea changed slightly. Firstly I die cut the autumn scene cover plate set - the frame, tree, and clouds in white card and the hills along with the leaves in a pale light green card. I then place the frame, tree and hills on top of an A6 white card blank and marked lightly in pencil where the edge of the frame was at the top and where the top of the hills were too - I did this to give a guide of the area I needed ensure adequate to ink blending. For the ink blending I initially used spun sugar and crackling camp distress oxides but fel

Time for Tea Designs - I miss your face

Hey all, hope you are keeping safe and well. Today I wanted to share with you a card using the newly released happy mail critters stamp set from Time for Tea Designs. Firstly I started off by die cutting and stamping the images from the latest release from Time for Tea Designs - the happy mail critters, workout pigs and smitten kittens sets; I will be using the other sets in the near future. Following this I decided to die cut the lots of love cover plate die - horizontal, out of a vibrant pink piece of card stock before adhering it to a A6 white card blank.  I choose to use the postbox, the cat and bird images along with the word smiles; next it was onto the colouring for which I used my spectrum noir triblend brush pens. Once the images were coloured I used red liner tape to adhere them to the card front, along with the word 'smiles' so the cat is posting smiles.  Following that I took 6 hearts which had cut out from the cover plate die I had previously used and placed them b

The Hobby house Christmas Cards in January

Image
Hey, so today I am sharing a few Christmas cards which I made using the hobby house collection. For this first card I cut 14.5cm squared piece out of the merry & bright snowflake paper before then cutting a 2cm by 14.5cm strip of spotted paper.  I stuck the snowflake paper to a 6 by 6 card blank, followed by the strip of red card with white dots and then the die cut image. I look the sentiment and coloured it using a crimson promarker followed by colouring the edging in a gold metallic promarker.  To complete the card I added some silver sequins which I stuck on using Gert's glue. On to the second card - for this one i cut a background from the merry and bright spot paper which measured 14.5cm squared which I then stuck onto a 6 by 6 card blank. After which I stuck down the large girl topper circle.  With gold cardstock I then used Time for Tea designs falalalala die set - using the snowflakes which i cut out using my Gemini machine; the snowflakes were then adhered using Gert

My Besties - January Challenge Reminder

Image
Hey All.   So this is my first post as a newly appointed design team member for 'Colour It Create It Show It Off' challenge for My Besties using Sherri Baldy's digital stamps.  I am super excited for this opportunity and hope you all enjoy my posts and like my creations. Firstly I started by printing the digi stamp on to Color copy 160gsm paper, which I find works well when colouring images in with alcohol markers. Then I started by colouring the skin, then the hair followed by her top and then trousers before finally giving her eyes colour and adding colour to the mug.  To colour in the image I used Spectrum Noir Tri-blend brush markers, which are new pens to me however I loved the result I got on this image. The colour combinations used are: For the skin - Fair skin blend For the hair - Gold brown blend The top and bow on trousers - dark red blend The trousers - brown grey blend The patch - ice grey blend The heart on the cup and bow - the lightest shade of the dark red b

Welcome!

Hey there! HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Welcome to my blog - I am creating this in order to share my idea's and help inspire others. Firstly I'd like to share a card I made prior to the festive period - a happy new year 2021 card. For this card I used an 8 by 8 card blank, I then took some silver card from core collection pack I have and cut a frame using the two largest dies from the square quilted nesting dies by Time for tea designs.  To create the background i used a sheet of paper from Pink&Main Galaxy foil paper pad collection I purchased from My Perfect Stamp, and cut a strip of Crafters Companion centura pearl card to create the idea of a snowy floor.  I then die cut the critters, accessories and words out using the following collections from Time for Tea Designs - Happy new year standalone die and the happy new year critters coordinating dies.  Once die cut out I then stamped the detail onto the accessories (wine glasses and bottle of bubbly), 2021 balloons along with the cri
