Color It - Create It - Show It Off! July Challenge

Image
Wow! July is here already and in just over 2 weeks time kids break for summer holidays, here in the UK.  Today on my blog I'm sharing my latest make for Color it - Create it - Show it off! design team which we provide inspiration to others and encouragement for people to join the challenge; whereby as usual anything goes for more information or to join in the challenge,  click here. For this card I used Sherri Baldy's My Besties Storybook Fairy Tale Fairy Princess Doll 3, which can be purchased from  here , so firstly I printed this image off before colouring in the image using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens and Spectrum Noir sparkle pens. On a 6 by 6 inch square white card blank and to create the background detail using my Time for Tea Designs Diamond Burst stencil, Time for Tea blender brushes along with Distress oxide in abandoned coral.  Using a black fine-liner pen I then added a stitched detail around the edge of the card blank along with around the ed...

Color it - Create It - Show it off! May Challenge Reminder

Image
Hey Everyone!  Wow, where has the time gone, can not believe we are half way through May already.  So its that to remind you all of the challenger running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. This is a card I made for a friends daughters 8th birthday whom loves lounging around in pj's.  Firstly I started off by downloading the digital image and then printing it out via my printer on paper of a reasonable weight and that is suitable for colouring with alcohol markers.  I printed her out so that 2 of the images fitted on a A4 piece of paper.  Once printed I coloured in the image using spectrum noir triblend brush pens and pro-markers.  As I printed off two images I decided to colour both so I could then choose which one I preferred.   On a 8 by 8 card blank I then using Time for Tea Designs Dandelion stencil, a blender brush and my distress oxide kitsch fl...

TLC Designs - two cards completed

Image
Hey all! Hope you are all well.  So today I wanted to share two cards I've made using a new company to me (TLC Designs), which I happened to stumble across; the cards are using the company's digital products while I await arrival of my stamps and dies. As with the majority of my blog posts you can find a list of the products used along with a link to them at the end of this post. Pumpkin Gnome Card So firstly for the first card I printed the digital image of the gnome out and then coloured the image using Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens, before cutting the image out. I also printed the leaf patterned paper and sentiments which came from the Jack O'Gnome digital stamp set.   On a 7 by 7 inch white card blank I then stuck down the bronze embossed card using red liner tape, which I had cut down to 6 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches, before then sticking the leaf patterned paper on top of the bronze card (the leaf paper was 6 inches by 6 inches). I then cut out t...

Color It - Create It - Show It Off! April Challenge

Image
Hey everyone, Wow the start of another month already so that can only mean one thing the start of another challenge for Color it - Create it - Show it off! As always it is anything goes, for more information  click here.  So here is my inspiration for the start of this new challenge month, using Sherri Baldy's My Besties Gigglebox Gardening Time Doll 3, which can be purchased from   here. Absolutely loving all the my besties images I am getting to play with the images are super cute and so enjoyable to colour. Firstly I started by printing of my image on too A4 paper I tend to print 4 of the each of the images onto a sheet of A4 to give me an ideal size image to then put onto an A6 sized card.  Once I had printed the images I then cut the paper into four giving me four separate toppers, which I then coloured one using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens.   Following that I was unsure what to do next so I took the time to look around my craft area at products ...

Color It - Create It - Show It Off! March Challenge - My Besties

Image
Hey all, Wow the start of another month already so that can only mean one thing the start of another challenge for Color it - Create it - Show it off! As always it is anything goes, for more information  click here.  So here is my inspiration for the start of this new challenge month, using Sherri Baldy's My Besties Forest Fairy Doll 2 , which can be purchased from  here. I have enjoyed colouring this image so much that I have been able to produce two cards. I would say the smaller card is the most simplistic with only involving matting and layering paper/ card along with stamping for the sentiment and colouring the image.  The other card the larger one involved colouring and stamping like the first but also involved using stencils and paste. So for this first card I downloaded my digi image and printed four of the same images on to a sheet of A4 paper, suitable for using alcohol markers on; once printed I then cut the paper up into four so had four individual ...

My Besties - February Challenge Reminder

Image
Hey everyone, hope you are all well! So I cant believe we are already half way through February already - wow how has that happened!  Just to remind you all to get your entries into the challenge over at Color it - Create it - Show it off blog, and the theme is anything goes so get those entries in. So with February's main focus being valentines day along with pancake day; I've decided to steer away from this theme with this card and make a home sweet home card which would be perfect for a new home card, thinking of you or a card just to write a message in to send to a friend whom you may not be able to see because of the current restrictions.                                                        So firstly I took a piece of white card and my autumn leaves stencil from time for tea designs along with a palette kn...

Sherri Baldy's My Besties meets Pink Ink Designs and Time For Tea Designs

Image
Hi all! So today I thought I'd share with you another card I've made using Sherri Baldy's My Besties Gnome 3.  In this card I collaborated the digi image with a Pink Ink Designs stencil along with Time For Tea Designs sentiment stamps and a die.   I started off by reaching for a 7 by 7 white card blank, I then chose that I would use distress oxides inks in the following colours for the background: wilted violet, seedless preserve and abandoned coral.  In order to keep my stencil in place I used a small strip of masking tape to hold the stencil to my glass mat where the stencil over hanged the card blank.  Firstly using the abandoned coral before moving onto seedless preserve and finally wilted violet I blended the inks over the stencil using my Time for Tea Designs medium blender brushes - with these I have a separate brush for nearly each colour oxide however you can just have one brush per colour family: red, blue, green, purple, yellow, orange, pink and black alon...
