Sherri Baldy's My Besties meets Pink Ink Designs and Time For Tea Designs

Hi all!

So today I thought I'd share with you another card I've made using Sherri Baldy's My Besties Gnome 3.  In this card I collaborated the digi image with a Pink Ink Designs stencil along with Time For Tea Designs sentiment stamps and a die.


 

I started off by reaching for a 7 by 7 white card blank, I then chose that I would use distress oxides inks in the following colours for the background: wilted violet, seedless preserve and abandoned coral.  In order to keep my stencil in place I used a small strip of masking tape to hold the stencil to my glass mat where the stencil over hanged the card blank.  Firstly using the abandoned coral before moving onto seedless preserve and finally wilted violet I blended the inks over the stencil using my Time for Tea Designs medium blender brushes - with these I have a separate brush for nearly each colour oxide however you can just have one brush per colour family: red, blue, green, purple, yellow, orange, pink and black along with one for white too if planning to do any blending with white ink such as for christmas/ snow scenes.


 


Sherri Baldy's My Besties Gnome was printed onto Color Copy 160gsm paper and then coloured using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens. Before then fussy cutting the image out so there was barely any white paper surrounding the image.


On a spare piece of white stamping card I then stamped the word 'you' from the Be kind be you stamp set by Time for Tea designs, in abandoned coral distress oxide using a small acrylic block.  Then from the same stamp set I took the sentiment 'are more amazing than you know' and stamped it beneath in black ink (Lawn Fawn fundamentals ink).  


 

With the 3rd smallest die of Time for Tea designs heart nesting dies, I placed it over my sentiment ensuring all the words were inside the heart area before then die-cutting it out and adding a faux stitching lines around the edge of the heart using a black fine-liner pen.  To complete the card I stuck the sentiment and gnome to the card based using 3D foam tape as this gives it a lift and creating dimension to the card.

Color it - Create it - show it off! January 2022

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow can't believe we are here 2022, where did 2021 go! So its the start of a new month so time to mention to you all of the monthly challenge running over on the Color it - Create It - Show it off blog whereby as usual anything goes, for more details or to enter click  here. This month I have used this gorgeous image which is Shabby chic birdcage besties doll 5 and can be purchased  here.   This card is using a 6 by 6 card blank to which I have covered with a floral pattern paper.  I printed the image (4 images onto a sheet of A4) and then cut it out creating a square topper, colouring the image using promarkers and triblend pens.  I also used my white jelly roll pen to add accents to the image.  I then took a hammered pink card and cut it down so it was slightly larger than that of the image. Hey all! So today I am sharing my design team make for color it - create it - show it off! May Challenge, as always it’s anything goes for more details or to enter click  Here . So for my card I used Sherri Baldy’s my besties I love my copics doll 4, which can be purchased from  mybestiesshop.com Firstly I started by printing off the image and colouring it in using my crafters companion triblend brush pens before then cutting the image out using a small pair of scissors I have for cutting out detailed images. Then on a 8 by 8 white card blank using my beautiful blender brushes and distress oxide inks (I didn’t add any fresh ink to my brushes just used ink already on brushes) I added the splash details using a Time for Tea designs stencil. Finally then I adhered the digi stamp image to the card using foam tape to give the image a slight raise; along with stamping the sentiments on in black ink - the sentiments were from Woodware creative quotes stamp set.
