Your body is a temple

Hey all! So today I'm sharing this A6 card with you, which uses  Time for Tea Designs Workout Pigs collection  and an ink blended back using  Time for Tea Designs Sunny Side Up Again stencil . So firstly I die cut out the workout pigs, along with the heart thought bubble from smitten kittens, 2 clouds from the autumn scene cover plate set and a speech bubble from the speech bubble coordinating dies.  After that I stamped the detail onto the pigs and the outline of the heart thought bubble. Then onto colouring in the pigs with Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens, for the pigs I used all three shades however for the shorts and head bands I only used the light and mid shades. Next I took an A6 white card blank landscaped and using the sunny side up again stencil grass edge, a blender brush and the distress oxide twisted citron I ink blended a grass area on the bottom area of the card mainly concentrating on the top of the grass area as will add another colour grass below....

Valentines shaker card with smitten kittens

Image
Hey all! So February is here already - the shortest month of the year and yet its a busy one what with valentines day along with pancake day too - yum yum! I know which is my favourite of the two, which is yours?  So today I thought I'd share with you this valentines card I've made using  Time for Tea Designs Smitten Kittens Collection  and  Time for Tea Designs Lots of Love Vertical Cover plate . Firstly I die cut the lots of love vertical cover plate out of a pale pink pearlised paper before I then took an A6 card blank and covered the front by ink blending distress oxide tattered rose over the complete area using a medium blender brush. Following this I chose which images I wanted to use from the smitten kittens collection which I had previously die cut and stamped during a mass die cutting and stamping session - I haven't forgotten I will share the process shortly via a specified blog on the subject.    I decided to go with the image of the cat w...

Piggin' Skipping Slider card

Image
Hey everyone,  So today I wanted to share a penny slider card that I've made using Time for Tea Designs Workout pigs. Firstly I cut a piece of laminate wood effect paper measuring 148mm by 63mm and a piece of silver mirror card to 148mm by 84mm.  Then on the wood effect paper I placed the larger slider element die from the hooray hamsters set roughly in the centre before then running it through my Gemini machine.   The idea was to have a pig skipping moving with the slider element, therefore the next step was to colour the pig and skipping rope handles using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens and then adhered to skipping rope to the pigs trotters using Gert's glue. Next I stuck down the silver mirror card panel to the top of a 6 by 6 black card blank. Putting together the slider element you need a penny (well any coin will do but a penny is the cheapest), then I stuck 4 square foam pads across the coin and then stuck another row on top given it slight dimension.  I ch...

My Besties Design Team - February Challenge

Image
Hey there! So another month is here, which means a new challenge over on the Color it, Create it, Show it off blog; details of how to enter can be found  here .  As always the challenge is anything goes therefore any image, project, techniques are welcome. So this is my second design team entry and I have thoroughly enjoyed making this card. I started firstly by choosing this gorgeous Sherri Baldy's My Besties digi gnome image and printed it off onto Color copy 160gsm paper.  Following that I coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend brush pens - starting with the face and hands, before moving onto the gnomes beard/hair (for this i used silver lining promarker).  For the gnomes clothing I decided to do rainbow colours using the light and mid shade of the tri-blend brush pens, finally then adding colour to the rest of the image. Next it was onto creating the background so I took a 7" by 7" white card blank along with a time for tea designs medium blend...

Time for tea designs - I workout to ...

Image
Hey all! I hope you are all well - how are those new years resolutions going?  So today I'm sharing a fun card for those who decided to workout more this year but however due -to the weather and lock-down are finding they are eating / pigging-out more.   So firstly before I even knew that I was going to make this card I spent some time mass die-cutting and stamping some of my new release sets from Time for Tea designs; the new sets are  Happy Mail Critters ,  Workout Pigs  and  Smitten Kittens .  I will share on a later blog the process I use for my mass die cutting and stamping.   Once I had decided to use the workout pigs I started by colouring the pigs in using Spectrum Noir Triblend brush pens. With the triblend pens I use the lighter shade first, before adding the darker shade to where shadows are, then using the mid shade going over the edge of the dark shade blending it in and going over most of image but leaving the areas which light would...

Time for Tea Designs - Bears Picnic and Autumn Scene cover plate

Image
Hey everyone, glad you have taken the time to stop by and check out my latest blog post.  Today I'm sharing a card I have made using Time for Tea Designs products in particular the autumn scene cover plate die set as I have been meaning to use this for a while now just never got opportunity or idea to inspire me.  So my thought for this card was to create a scene of a teddy bears picnic under the tree with them sitting on a rug but as you can see that idea changed slightly. Firstly I die cut the autumn scene cover plate set - the frame, tree, and clouds in white card and the hills along with the leaves in a pale light green card. I then place the frame, tree and hills on top of an A6 white card blank and marked lightly in pencil where the edge of the frame was at the top and where the top of the hills were too - I did this to give a guide of the area I needed ensure adequate to ink blending. For the ink blending I initially used spun sugar and crackling camp distress oxides bu...

Time for Tea Designs - I miss your face

Image
Hey all, hope you are keeping safe and well. Today I wanted to share with you a card using the newly released happy mail critters stamp set from Time for Tea Designs. Firstly I started off by die cutting and stamping the images from the latest release from Time for Tea Designs - the happy mail critters, workout pigs and smitten kittens sets; I will be using the other sets in the near future. Following this I decided to die cut the lots of love cover plate die - horizontal, out of a vibrant pink piece of card stock before adhering it to a A6 white card blank.  I choose to use the postbox, the cat and bird images along with the word smiles; next it was onto the colouring for which I used my spectrum noir triblend brush pens. Once the images were coloured I used red liner tape to adhere them to the card front, along with the word 'smiles' so the cat is posting smiles.  Following that I took 6 hearts which had cut out from the cover plate die I had previously used and placed them ...
